Shipping Rates & Shipping Method (w.e.f: 01 Jan 2013)

We use Post NL (earlier known as TNT Post) for delivering your orders. Shipping rate depending on order amount and delivery address country. The various shipping rate slabs (including VAT) are shown below:

Order Tracking

You can check the order status using our "Order Status" link on right side or on bottom on home page. Packages that are sent by PostNL are also traceable through website www.postnl.nl. You will find the tracking number in the order confirmation email.  

Delivery timings

We ship the good within 24 hours of the order confirmation. If it is very urgent for you and you have placed the order before 12.00pm, then please mention it while placing the order and we will try to send it out before 12.00pm hour, so that you can get it quickly.

Note. A signature will be required upon delivery. If nobody is available to sign for delivery, a card will be left for you advising details of rescheduling delivery or of where your parcel can be collected.

For orders within Netherlands

   Delivered in the Netherlands from Monday to Saturday. Parcels sent on Saturday will be delivered the following Tuesday.

  • In the Netherlands a maximum of two attempts are made to deliver parcels.
  • After a second unsuccessful delivery attempt the parcel will be held at a PostNL postal outlet for up to three weeks . 
  • If the addressee is not at home to take delivery the parcel will, if possible, be left with a neighbour. 

Delivery Rescheduling

If the neighbour is not there, the delivery person shall leave a note in your postbox including a code on this note and try to make a delivery attempt on the next day. You can use this code by 22.00 on the day of the first delivery for rescheduling the second delivery date and time-slot in the next five working days via https://mijnpakket.postnl.nl/ Here you can also choose if you would not want your order to be delivered to your neighbours or a different delivery address. If you are also not available to receive the packet in the second attempt, it can be redeemed at the Post NL office mentioned in the second delivery attempt note. You would need to carry a Dutch ID to redeem your packet. 

If the order is not picked, it will be delivered back to us after 3 weeks.

Please note, if your order is returned to us because you did not pick it up in the above mentioned three weeks, we shall charge you the full order amount including shipping despite the order is returned to us. You can then pick it up yourself for free. In case you want us to send it back to you again, we would charge the full shipping fees and additional handling fees.

For orders in Other EU countries

In Belgium (Vlaanderen): PostNL shall make three delivery attempts on consecutive days from Tuesday to Saturday between 9.00-20.00. If you do not receive the packet, it is returned to us. It is not possible to schedule the delivery at the moment. However, for we can plan Saturday delivery, please place your order by Tuesday for Saturday delivery. 

In Belgium (Wallonie): PostNL shall make three delivery attempst on consecutive days from Monday to Friday. There's no Saturday delivery possible in the Wallonie area at the moment. 

Please note, if your order is returned to us because you did not pick it up in the above mentioned three weeks, we shall charge you the full order amount including shipping despite the order is returned to us. You can then pick it up yourself for free. In case you want us to send it back to you again, we would charge the full shipping fees and additional handling fees.

Return Policy

We adhere to EU policy on return of goods and cooling off period.

Cooling-off period

We follow the Dutch regulation for returning items sold from our web-shop. We do our best to deliver your order satisfactorily at your place. However, you can return a product/products within 7 days of purchase (cooling-off period) without providing any reason. This period begins from the day you receive or some else receives it on your behalf.

We will not accept any return after the cooling-off period.

Return Procedure 

  • Please notify us the issue with the order by sending an e-mail at orders@emasalaexpress.biz  within cooling off period.
  • Properly pack the return items in a box to prevent damage during return transport and apply the required postage at your nearby Post office. We expect our customers to send us carefully packed return items.
  • Please e-mail us a copy of the post office payment receipt.
  • If the issue is related to any broken or damaged item, please be kind to send us a photo of the same.
  • After receiving the goods in the original condition, unopened, we shall return the cost of the goods within 10 working days in to your bank account. Please be kind to provide us your IBAN, BIC details. 

Orders / items will be excluded from Return if :

  • Items has been Opened or damaged after delivery
  • masalaexpress.biz does not receive the items due to insufficient postage stamp.
